Candace is our Technician Supervisor. She came to us in April of 2013 from California! Born and raised in Forney, TX she came home to us after her husband finished his obligations with the United States Navy. As a technician she really enjoys her ability to make a difference in the lives of patients who have no voice. She likes watching their progression and participating in helping them to improve. She always had a passion for animals and when she found out she could be paid for doing what she already loved, she couldn’t say no! She graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in the Veterinary Technician program in San Diego and loves working in every department from surgery, to diagnostics, to exam rooms and socializing with clients. She shares her home with her husband, Matt, her daughter, Payton and her son Preston. They also have their furry family members, Lucy her rescued terrier mix, Ethel Mae her Chihuahua, and her domestic shorthair, Prissy. When she is not at work saving lives, she is with her family, spending time outdoors at the beach, in the mountains, or reading a book.
Karina has been an integral part of the Lovers Lane family since 2002 and has been managing the office staff since 2017. What she enjoys most about the veterinary field are, of course, the patients! But more so, the clients and the sense of family that comes along with it; and watching our clients' families grow and change over the years is a big part of that She shares her life with her high school sweetheart and now husband, as well as her two young boys and her rowdy American Bully, Lover. Her husband's passion for classic cars has led to an impressive collection - her oldest son's 1963 C10 Short Bed truck, her youngest son's 1975 Chevy Nova SS and her own 1974 Chevy Nova. And when she is not at work, or racing around in cars, she's enjoying as much time with her family as possible.
