Dr. MartinDr. Martin was born and raised in St. Louis, MO until the age of 11 at which point his family moved to Shreveport, LA. All his life he was surrounded by family pets which included: hamsters, gerbils, parakeets, cats, dogs and horses. After pursuing a curriculum to become a music teacher, Dr. Martin realized his call was to care for animals as a veterinarian. Dr. Martin attended Centenary College and Louisiana State University in Shreveport for his undergraduate studies and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in the summer of 1994. Geaux Tigers!! After graduation, Dr. Martin came to Texas and found his place here at Lovers Lane Animal Hospital which he later bought and changed the name to Lovers Lane Animal Medical Center with his co-owner, Dr. Hays. While in high school Dr. Martin met his future wife whom he married in 1991. They have been blessed with two daughters Brindan and Mallory and their son Jared who are all active in sports and or choir. Currently their furry children include Louie and Moe their playful cats, Jane who is a crazy Bichon, Dallas the “Big Lug” Boxer and their new arrival - Buster.
Dr. Hays
Dr. Lon G. Hays grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana. As a child Dr. Hays spent a lot of time on his grandparent’s farm helping take care of the animals. Coupling these experiences and his love of the sciences he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. While attending Louisiana State University for his undergraduate studies, he met his wife to be Jacinta, who is also a practicing veterinarian. He graduated from LSU in 1995 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hays and his wife were married in 1996 and have two daughters, Abigail Marie and Natalie Mae. Dr. Hays’ family includes a cat named Pearl , a yellow lab named Butta and a black lab named Mojo. In Dr. Hays’ spare time he enjoys outdoor activities and reading books.
Dr. JiranekDr. Barrett J. Jiranek grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He decided to become a veterinarian because he loves to work with animals and felt he could make a difference. He attended Kansas State University during his undergraduate and graduate school, completing his Bachelor’s in Animal Science and Industry in May 1997, then his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 1999. After graduating from vet school he moved to Dallas and joined the LLAMC practice. Six months later he met his future wife while snowboarding in Colorado. They married in May of 2003 and have 3 children (Grace, Cole, and Mason). At present, they share their home in Lewisville with Chloe their Labrador Retriever and Mia, their black lab puppy. In his spare time, he is an avid ice and roller hockey player, mountain biker and enjoys any outdoor activities.
Dr. Linley
Dr. Christi Linley was born in Overland Park, Kansas, but grew up in Dallas, TX. As a young girl, she constantly rescued homeless animals, nursing them back to health and finding them homes (usually with her). When her childhood best friend, a spunky cat named Snooper, passed away from feline leukemia virus, she decided to become a veterinarian to help other animals. Dr. Linley attended Texas A&M University and received her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science in 2006. She stayed at A&M for veterinary school and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She completed her externship at Lovers Lane Animal Medical Center and joined the team officially in June 2010. She is the proud mother of Chloe (dachshund), Starr (lab), Lacey (lab), Noel (cat), and Maverick (Quarter Horse). In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and scrapbooking.
Dr. AllemanDr. Jacinta Alleman was born and raised in St. James, Louisiana. She was blessed with the dream of becoming a veterinarian as a small child. Living in the rural areas of Louisiana, there were always stray animals in need of her care. She attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate education and continued on at LSU's School of Veterinary Medicine. During her education at LSU, Dr. Alleman met her future husband, Dr. Lon Hays. After graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, she moved to Texas and married in 1996. Dr. Alleman has a strong passion for feline medicine and practiced exclusively feline medicine for years. She worked with local shelters and rescue organizations in their spay and neuter programs. She joined the LLAMC family in February 2010. During her free time, Dr. Alleman enjoys scrap booking and photography. She is blessed with a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls, Abigail and Natalie. Her four-legged kids include Pearl (cat), Butta (yellow lab), and MoJo (black lab).
Cyndi Jacobs - Receptionist SupervisorCyndi Jacobs joined the LLAMC team in May of 1998. She started part-time with us while attending school full-time to become a Certified Shorthand Reporter. Cyndi became a licensed court reporter in 1999 after four years of school. Although she had devoted much time into her schooling, she made a decision to stay at LLAMC in a career field she loves best. She grew up in a family with many pets and enjoys getting to interact with all the pet owners on a daily basis. After becoming a full-time receptionist at LLAMC, Cyndi was promoted to her current position as the receptionist supervisor. Cyndi met her husband Ted through a mutual friend back in 1995 and they wed 1 ˝ years later. Over the years we have seen Cyndi’s family grow. She now has a son, Gannon, and daughter, Ryan. The Jacobs family shares their home with their overly friendly Lab mix named “Luke”, “Rhodie”- (I want to get into everything) Pomeranian mix and their three frisky kitties “Popcorn,” "Screech," and "Meatball". Ultimately, Cyndi has found that if you love your job, it makes for a happy home life and she couldn’t ask for more.
